  1. Approx. 42% of physicians are comfortable with at-home test results to prescribe medication.
  1. Most of the physicians believe  that e-visits could replace nearly 10% of in-office visits of patient and this will also increase patient-clinician interaction.
  1. Approx. 66% of doctors  would prescribe an app to deal with chronic diseases and 28% of consumers said they have healthcare app on their mobile phone so that they can track their health record.
  1. 79% of physicians and nearly 50% of consumers believe that wearable devices can help doctors better coordinate care.

These figures clearly shows that the healthcare industry including hospitals, patients and the pharmaceutical industry believe in the technology and never afraid to adopt it in their system.

However, several existing barriers like security, consumer consent, privacy, data-sharing and fragmented workflows ceasing the implementation of this new paradigm but developers and IT industry putting their best efforts to overcome these barriers.
